Once, in the morning, a tadpole woke up. He was aching all over his body. "Ouch, my body aches," he says. "I am going to have to go see the doctor." He goes to see the doctor. "Where does it hurt?" the doctor asks him. "All over my body," says the tadpole. "My head aches, my arms ache, my feet ache, my legs ache, my stomach also aches," he says. "There is nothing wrong with you," says the doctor. "You are getting to be all grown up. You have growing pains. I will give you some sleeping pills and when you get up tomorrow you will finish growing." The tadpole eats his medicine and begins to sleep. When morning comes he gets up. He jumps off his bed. "Whoa," he says. "Why am I jumping?" He looks at himself. Whoa! He is no longer a tadpole, he is a frog now! Apparantly he had finished growing while he slept.
